The California Firefighters Memorial in Sacramento’s Capitol Park is a place of honor and remembrance. For one of our members, Fire Prevention Officer II Karin Carpenter, this is very personal as her father’s name is on that wall. Patrick Lee Carpenter served with CDF, was promoted to Battalion Chief at the Grass Valley Air Attack Base, and passed away from cancer at just 42. His memory and the memory of the hundreds of members who paid the ultimate sacrifice will never be forgotten. #California
