What’s going on here? We installed a 40’ -8” PVC casing to seal off a caving formation. This is a safety measure to prevent a sinkhole from occurring. We grout the bottom with Portland Cement, then displace the top of casing with 20% solids Bentonite Grout. We also grouted the top 20’ to surface with Bentonite Grout. The bentonite seals for contamination and the cement prevents erosion underneath casing when we drill back through it to create a new drinking water well! It’s a messy job, but we l
