The weeklong, 40-hour training brought together 14 maintenance staff members from across California and was organized by Jodi R. Whelchel, Maintenance Chief for the San Diego Coast District. The course was led by Sierra District Water & Sewer Plant Supervisor Graham Payne, alongside instructors Randy Valenzano and Marcos Almeida from Backflow Distributors Inc.
